Approximate dimensions are: 7-3/4″ high x 4-1/2″ wide. (Not including the sticky-outy roof bits.)
A one-of-a-kind handmade fairy door, made of reclaimed wood, and split-branch roof.
The house wall is two panels of beautifully-grained natural cedar, one stained yellow… the other left natural and featuring a knot hole. The door is a live-edge natural cross-cut slab of maple. The door has a tiny jewelry pice and orange glass bead for a door knob. Hanging from the roof is a magical ‘whim’ chime made from beads and trinkets. But only fairy can hear it!
No two doors are alike. This door is designed to lean up against a fence, tree trunk, planter, or wall, to invite magical beings to come dwell. We’ve heard that fairies like quiet, shady spots… so perhaps peeking out from behind a fern or shrub, would please their need for privacy, and fairy serenity.
The door does not open for people. Only Fairies can open the door! If you live in a climate where nights are frosty, it’s most likely your garden fairy will choose to winter in a warm tropical locale. They would be most grateful if you protected their door from the elements, by bringing it inside, during colder weather.
Each door is hand-crafted. Any knot holes, saw marks, imperfections in the wood, variations of stains in the natural wood, or other imperfections, are part of the door’s rustic and whimsical charm! Fairies are not perfect, you know!
As hard as we try to capture the most accurate colors, every computer monitor and phone screen is different. Please keep that it mind.
