Description

Approximate dimensions are: 6″ high x 4″ wide.

A one-of-a-kind handmade Hobbit Hole, made of wood, and copper.

This rustic house is roughly hewn from a cross cut slab with a few patches of lichen. The red and ornate copper door is round, as all hobbit holes are. The door knob is a red glass bead. Resting above the door is a red butterfly.

No two doors are alike. This door is designed to lean up against a fence, tree trunk, planter, or wall, to invite magical beings to come dwell. We’ve heard that Hobbits like quiet, shady spots… so perhaps peeking out from behind a fern or shrub, would please both their need for privacy, and tranquil serenity.

The door does not open for mere mortals. Only Hobbits can open the door! If you live in a climate where winters are harsh, it’s most likely your magical creatures will choose to winter in a warm tropical locale. They would be most grateful if you protected their door from the elements, by bringing it in for those months.

Each door is hand-crafted. Any knot holes, saw marks, imperfections in the wood, variations of stains in the natural wood, or other imperfections, only add to the door’s rustic and whimsical charm! Hobbits are not perfect, you know!

As hard as we try to capture the most accurate colors, every computer monitor and phone screen is different. Please keep that it mind.

Ships to Canada & US, from the Vancouver, British Columbia area. This is the very item you will receive, and it is ready to ship in 1-2 business days.

Made from various reclaimed woods, including cedar, cherry and mahogany.
